About me
I’m currently living in Jakarta and studying a PE and Sport Pedagogy masters from the University of Birmingham. I spent the previous four years as a PYP PE teacher at the American International School of Bucharest and before moving to Vampire country I lived in the land of the Pharaohs teaching Elementary PE in Cairo for 3 years.
I believe PE should help build physically, socially and emotionally healthy students, through an environment that challenges and inspires students to participate in regular physical activity beyond the school setting.
Outside of school I’m an avid Radiohead fan, some would say geek, I also love listening to other music, live or on my iPod. When not listening to music, I like going to the cinema, watching sport and I have recently started cycling which was great for exploring the more rural parts of Romania. The Website
The website started off as a space for me to reflect on books or articles that I’ve read. Whilst initially feeling apprehensive about sharing, I have grown to appreciate that by putting ourselves in a place of vulnerability we benefit from having our thoughts, opinions and practises challenged.
As a teacher I continue to grow and develop through seeing and reading what others have shared, this website will show the process of my development, help aide my understanding of teaching and may also be a catalyst of ideas for peers.
